The Substitutes are Chris (Vocals & Lead Guitar), Si (Keyboards & Backing Vocals), Ollie (Bass Guitar) & Dave (Drums).
They have been together under this name since 2005, but have been around since the late 90's under various monikers that are now (thankfully) lost in the mists of time. At some point they all decided to move on from playing covers at birthdays and charity gigs to writing some tunes and doing some serious gigging.
The music they play is best described as rock music with an emphasis on tunes and melody - as if The Killers were fighting Crowded House in a disused warehouse while Ben Folds shouts encouragement, as Faith No More hide in the next room ... or something. It's probably better if you made up your own mind by listening to a sample of our songs.
